{"id":373,"date":"2026-07-01T00:19:41","date_gmt":"2026-07-01T03:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/phgomes.com.br\/?post_type=case_study&#038;p=373"},"modified":"2026-07-03T15:11:21","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T18:11:21","slug":"faarmacos","status":"publish","type":"case_study","link":"https:\/\/phgomes.com.br\/en\/projetos\/faarmacos\/","title":{"rendered":"Faarmacos"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How we transformed a pain observed at the pharmacy counter into a digital platform to increase adherence to the treatment of patients with chronic diseases.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Low adherence to treatment is one of the most neglected health problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every day, millions of patients leave medical appointments understanding their diagnosis and receiving a prescription, but find it difficult to maintain treatment over the following weeks and months. Most of the time, this problem is not related to the patient's unwillingness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is a consequence of a combination of factors: complex treatments, doubts about medicines, adverse reactions, absence of pharmaceutical follow-up after purchase, and the effort required to correctly administer a routine of medications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although there are dozens of medication reminder apps, practically all try to solve the same issue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\"Don't forget to take your medicine.\"<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our research showed something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Patients do not abandon treatment just because they forget. However, as soon as patients leave the doctor's office, clinic, or pharmacy, they typically start facing treatment on their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For people with chronic conditions, managing medication stops being a one-off task and becomes part of the daily routine. Remembering schedules, interpreting prescriptions, handling multiple medications, and identifying potential risks all become the patient's own responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, that's exactly the moment when professional support tends to disappear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That gap is where the Faarmacos opportunity emerged. Our goal was never just to digitize pharmaceutical services.
